Next Step Incorporated was founded in September 2012 by our CEO Richard Eifler to support young people facing barriers within our local community. Richard aimed to connect young people with mentors to support them through challenges that they maybe facing in their lives. Richard's passion for mentoring has seen a key focus within all service streams Next Step provides. Next Step's objective is to surround young people in the program with a strong support network that works towards achieving realistic and achievable goals set by the mentee.
Richards lived experience growing up in Social Housing and finding key mentors in his life drives Next Step's vision to connect young people across Australia with mentors who not only support, but empower young people to take the next steps in their life journey!
Richard spent 8 years prior to creating Next Step Inc researching and gaining the support of like-minded experts in the community and corporate sector (Rick Shaw, Partner Deloitte, Jenny Grindell former CEO StreetWork, Patrick Gosselin CEO Impact Youth Services, Simon Chhoeu Partner Horwood Partners, Croqc Lucero Managing Director Crocq Design) to support the development and creation of Next Step Inc.
