Supervised Contact Support
The Children's Contact Service provides safe and positive contact arrangements for children and young people in court ordered care.
Next Step's primary focus is to ensure the safety and well-being of the children while they interact with their parents to maintain or re-establish their relationship.
All conversations and physical interactions are observed and documented in a contact report which is recorded as part of the supervised visit.
The Children's Contact Service enables contact arrangements to occur with a minimum of stress both for children and parents. It can also help with establishing a relationship between children and parents when there has been a period of limited or no contact.
The Service provides:
supervised contact visits to enable the child and visiting parent to enjoy quality time together
Contact workers facilitate changeover to enable the child or young person to be transferred from the carer to visitation with natural parents or significant others in a safe and neutral environment within a community setting.
Next Step provides experienced and qualified staff that are specifically trained in providing supervised contact services.
