Out of Home Care Mentoring Program
The program specifically caters for young people within the Out of Home Care system, whom are aged 12 to 18. The mentors who are are allocated and matched with the young person are a guide and support facilitation of key factors within the leaving care plan & Case Plan such as living skills support, connecting with education and employment services, creating positive links to the community that the young person is based in, through the last years of care.
Next Step continues to engage and support the young person after care and becomes a direct link to services and support networks.
Each mentoring session is specifically designed to build and foster a skill within the 4 hour block which increases the young person’s capacity to develop skills throughout the mentoring session.
